That's awesome! My husband was a mechanic for about 8 years. Actually, we met at a Diesel Mechanic school! I guess seeing me all turning wrenches and breaking engines did something for him! ;)
You can save SO much doing it yourself! My husband didn't feel like doing the brakes and 60K service on my car - spent more than our mortgage payment on both those services!!! If we just did it ourselves, I think my husband said parts would have been between $500-$600...
